Very good straightforward place to get fresh seafood!

The seafood fresh a little pricey but it's worth it.

Great seafood and they will steam the shrimp for you.

They know what they have, and know what you want.

Seafood was good but staff could been more friendly. Better know what you want before you walk in or it's awkward because staff expects an instant decision.

Great little seafood market. The seasoning they put on the shrimp was awesome. The smoked tuna dip, go ahead and get the big one. It'll be gone in no time.

Very very rude. I was on the phone with my mom who I was going to bring back some shrimp for and she wanted me to ask the lady how fresh the shrimp was due to Covid possibly affecting the supply chain and the lady very rudely told me to read the sign that said fresh seafood. So helpful and informative.

We live close by so we frequent their shop when it's open but they're only open 6 months out of the year so Sexton's is really the best alternative. The fish and shrimp are always fresh and the gumbo is unrivaled. My husband loves the corn & crab shower too.

Great selection of fresh local seafood

I’ve lived in the local area for 9 years and when I want fresh seafood I choose Skippers. The ladies that work there are helpful and hilarious. There have been times when I forgot to bring any cash (they only take cash or check, but have an ATM on site) and they’ll let me take my food home and pay later. Sabra always says, “we never let anyone leave our store without dinner” and they mean it.

Overpriced and the fish was not so good. We live in Tallahassee and eat grouper all the time. The fish we get at home is much better. This was not a good experience and the lady does not accept any card payment.

Horrible experience. We were trying to call them to ask question couple times but nobody answered. So we drove there and older Lady were talking forever with another lady who already purchase. They never greeted me or said I’ll be will you, just continued here conversation for another 10 min. Then phone was ringing and she said: I’m glad we have answering machine, so I don’t need to answer the phone . I never felt so disrespectful. Than she finally decided to paid attention to me and I after I ordered she said: we don’t take credit cards. I’m local and I’m not coming back and I’ll make sure I’ll tell it to all my friends

We stop every year to get a few pounds of shrimp to eat when we don't want to go out and deal with the crowds.

Terrible customer experience. I was spoken to as if wasn’t even a human. Absolute insanity.

5/28/2918 We come to Destin every year and always go to skippers to get fresh seafood and it’s always super. Today was no different however those two lady’s that were working inside are extremely rude and unprofessional in every way!

I was in there with my family yesterday, as we were wanting tilapia. I didn’t see any so I asked the 2 ladies that were in there and they were extremely rude. We are from out of town how am I suppose to know this place didn’t sell tilapia. We have been coming to Miriam for 5 years and I will make sure we never buy anything from this place when we come back again.

Very rude, if my wife didn’t insist on getting the smoked tuna dip I would have walked out. I deal with retail customers daily and do not treat people like that. Don’t bother with Skippers, Fresh market and Publix have better service 🖕🏽

Just walked and and experienced rudeness so we walked right back out. "Hurry hurry I'm in a hurry." After reading the reviews below it sounds like we should have researched before walking in. Wish I could give a zero for the experience.

The yellow grouper, red snapper, and scallops were excellent . Mayonnaise tip was great!!

Best steamed shrimp always get the heavy seasoning. Smoked tuna dip perfect appetizer with a cold beverage while the corn on the cob and potatoes are prepared. Little cleanup and price is right.

Skippers is great! If you want a fresh selection of daily caught and friendly faces then I recommend skippers. I live in FWB and would rather take the trip to skippers than go to my local fish market. The selection is better and the staff are such helpful folks!

Great service the Daugther, mother and father were there and another guy as well. But they have great service they are all nice and I love this place every time I visit destine I love coming here and getting the steam shrimp. The day I went the mother even gave me some of the bigger shrimp be cause they had ran out of the one I was buying and the daughter went out of her way to steam them we talked a little while. She’s really smart and nice great family business. See y’all next time

Best shrimp EVER!

My family has been buying shrimp from Skipper since he opened at this location over 25 years ago. Steamed and ready to eat or packed in ice to take home, it's great stuff. We know we are "on the beach" when we hear Skipper say "Ya'll want seasonin' on that?" Four generations of Skipper customers now in our family.

This place was not far from our condo, so my husband and I decided to buy from there. The lady working there was more focused on sealing the containers for pies than she was helping us. We were not greeted & when questions were asked of her, she was very short and rude. Because of her attitude, we ended up leaving and purchased seafood elsewhere.

We had tuna dip, chowder, tuna, grouper, and shrimp. All was excellent!

Came here for fresh sea food had good price excellent looking sea food. Had a good experience will be back.

First time not good. Tough and no seasoning...rude service. Gone here for years, but must have new owner.Will find new location

Closed for the season. Reopen March 2019.

Go where the locals go and you’ll find the best. Seafood is seafood. You can get that anywhere. But you won’t find the best smiles and service anywhere but Skippers. Thank you Sabre and “Mom”. The key lime pie Mom makes is revolutionary!

Small amount of varieties. What got me was when we had asked for live blue crab they told us "No one will have it because most people will setup small traps, and catch it themselves". Ended up buying frozen crab legs here. After some search we drove over to Destin Ice and Seafood and voilaaaa.. live blue crab was available along with a ton of other fresh seafood.

Customer service was great. Prices reasonable. The crab and shrimp in our low country boil was very tasty.

Great night out! We sat at the bar and watched the shuckers work. Bartender was very attentive to our needs despite being quite busy. All staff spoke with us and created a great night. Oysters we delicious as were the crab cakes. The remoulade had just the right level of spice. Live music is always an enjoyable addition. This was the best meal I've had in Destin!
